Solution for ADVANCED FEATURES USB Key - driver installation
The USB key required to enable the INFINITY ANALYZE advanced module should be
automatically identified. However, it is possible that the correct driver files
may not be detected on the PC, when the New Found Hardware Wizard searches for
the files.
If this occurs, save the file UsbLock.zip to your PC,
and extract the contents into a new folder. Next, simply double-click on the
file called install.bat. This will copy the remaining two included files (*.INF,
and *.SYS) into the appropriate folders. The whole process should only take a
few seconds on Windows XP.
Note: If the computer is running the VISTA operating system, the "install.bat"
step above will not work. Instead, it will be necessary to manually copy two
files from the WinZip into the described folders, prior to continuing to the
next step. Copy the file with the ".INF" extension into the folder called
"Windows\INF", and copy the file with the "*.SYS"
extension into the folder called "Windows\System32\drivers".
Once the files are in place, insert the USB Key into your PC again, and follow
the New Found Hardware wizard steps. If the wizard does not automatically locate
the driver files this time, then use the options to specify the required driver
manually. You will find the file within the folder C:\Windows\INF\ and the file
will be called UsbLock.INF. You may need to set your folder options to show
hidden files and folders, as Windows typically hides the INF folder by default.
