What It Does

A stereo zoom trinocular microscope is an advanced optical device used to magnify and inspect objects in clear three-dimensional detail while also supporting photo and video capture through an integrated camera port. Designed with dual viewing paths, it provides natural depth perception that allows users to accurately examine and manipulate larger specimens or components during observation. Its continuous zoom system lets users easily adjust magnification levels without switching lenses, while integrated detent click stops provide precise preset magnification positions that “click” into place for repeatable viewing and accurate measurement consistency during inspections or imaging tasks. The trinocular configuration includes a third optical channel dedicated to digital imaging, enabling users to record observations, perform measurements, share live demonstrations, or document results for reporting and analysis. These microscopes are widely used in electronics repair, scientific research, manufacturing, medical laboratories, education, jewelry inspection, and quality assurance because they combine precision viewing, ergonomic operation, reliable magnification control, and seamless imaging capabilities that improve accuracy, efficiency, and documentation workflows.

EMZ-13TRD: Trinocular Microscope Head + MA502: Eyepieces + PKC: Stand

EMZ-13TRD: Microscope Head with Detent
The EMZ-13TRD (with detent click-stops) trinocular zoom body is used for photography and video applications and offers an extended zoom ratio of 7:1, the highest in its series. Its modular design enables the user to select magnification from 3x – 420x. The large zoom range means the user can expect superb optical performance and maneuverability. The paired objectives are parfocalled and parcentered that guarantees observation of exceptionally high resolution images throughout a wide magnification range. The EMZ-13TR series offer working distances from 34mm – 252mm. The EMZ-13TRD employs Greenough optics, for improved image flatness and contrast. As a result images are brighter and more distinct even at the periphery of the field of view. The EMZ-13TRD is suitable for precision-oriented semi-conductor, medical device and routine inspection. In addition to it’s compact design and versatility a wide variety of auxiliary lenses and stands are available to allow the user to customize their desired working distance to adapt to almost any work/lab application.

PKC: Stand
The PKC Stand is Meiji Techno America’s most popular Ergonomic Wide Plain Pole stand which requires external illumination and is the perfect stand if you need a coarse and fine focus movement. This Ergonomic stand can accommodate up to three standard size petri dishes on the top surface. Equipped with an integral FC focusing holder with Coarse and Fine focus adjustment and an 84.5mm round diameter opening, mounted on a low profile ergonomic wide cast aluminum alloy stand. Supplied with one 94.5mm diameter reversible black and white stage plate (MA568) and two stainless steel stage clips (MA593). The PKC Stand is designed for the zoom (EMZ Series) and can also be used for our turret (EMT Series), fixed (EMF Series) stereo bodies. The PKC stand is a great complement to our Stereo microscopes due to the focus block’s ability to be easily raised vertically if needed for special applications. A 5” extension pillar for the threaded vertical post is also available if needed to accommodate taller specimens (MA551). Chemical Resistant Finish and is 100% MADE IN JAPAN.

Superb Optics:
Multi-coated optical components, free form chromatic and spherical aberration, provide crystal-clear, high resolution images. The Greenough optical design provides superior erect, unreversed, stereoscopic images, rich in contrast, brightness and correct in their original color. Excellent depth of field and a flat image rendition are also characteristic of the EMZ Series product line.

Ergonomic Design:
All EMZ Series zoom stereo microscope bodies feature a compact lightweight design. Every stereo body features adjustment diopter tubes and interpupillary distance adjustment. Observation tubes are inclined at 45°, 60° or 90° for convenient fatigue free viewing depending on the application, A range of fixed of tilting focus blocks are available to mount the microscope body onto existing O.E.M. equipment. A choice of Zoom, Turret or Fixed magnification bodies with various working distances, optional auxiliary objectives and eyepieces, multiple adjustable stands, versatile illumination systems, and auxiliary components allow the end user to design a system to fulfill their specific requirements.
