What It Does

The EMZ-5 + MA502 + F + UL Stand Configuration System is a high-quality stereo microscope setup designed for detailed inspection and diverse laboratory tasks. At its core is the EMZ-5 zoom stereo microscope body, featuring a 6.5:1 zoom range (0.7×–4.5×) that delivers sharp, high-contrast, stereoscopic images with excellent flatness and clarity across the zoom range — thanks to its advanced optical design. When paired with the included MA502 Super Widefield 10× eyepieces, this system provides a magnification range of 7×–45×, making it well-suited for applications such as routine inspection, biological observation, precision component analysis, and quality control. Supporting the optical components is the UL universal wide surface laminate stand, which offers a large work surface and flexible positioning for mid-sized specimens and larger components. The included F focus block offers smooth, rack-and-pinion movement with 55 mm of travel for precise vertical focusing. Designed to accommodate external illumination systems, the UL stand also features a rotatable tray for fiber optic light sources and provides ergonomic horizontal and vertical adjustment to tailor the system to specific sample sizes and work environments.

EMZ-5: Microscope Head
The EMZ-5 body delivers sharp, high-contrast images and an excellent zoom range of 6.5:1. It provides exceptionally high-resolution images all throughout the zoom range. The EMZ-5 employs Greenough optics, for improved image flatness and contrast. As a result, images are brighter and more distinct even at the periphery of the field of view. With the large zoom range, the EMZ-5 offers high resolution observation in precision-oriented semi-conductor, medical device and routine inspection. In addition to its compact design and versatility, a wide variety of auxiliary lenses and stands are available to allow the user to customize their desired working distance to adapt to almost any application.

MA502: Eyepieces
Included is the MA502 Super Widefield Eyepiece 10X (pair) with 25mm reticle mount Field No. 23.0, Eye Relief 16.0, Focal Length 25.0.

F: Focus Block
The F holder is a focusing holder with a rack and pinion mount that allows smooth, precise focusing over 55mm of travel. Coarse focus mechanism incorporates a slip clutch and tension adjustment. Fits 20mm diameter, 71mm long mounting post. The 84.2mm diameter opening accepts all EM Series stereo bodies.

UL: Stand
The UL Stand is Meiji Techno America’s special Universal-stand with pillar, crossarm and mounting post, and rotatable tray to hold optional fiber optic light source. The UL gives the user a large laminate work surface. Provides flexible horizontal and vertical movement for mid-sized specimens and large electronic components. 20mm diameter short drop-down mounting post accepts F, FX or FC holders. (must be ordered separately) Base: 580mm x 500 x 38mm. UL is a Laminate Board stand which requires external illumination and focus holder. The FL fiber optic illuminator series fit the footprint of the fiber optic tray perfectly. This UL Ergonomic stand can accommodate an extended work surface for use with large circuit boards or animal surgery which requires a wide surface area. The UL stand is designed for the zoom (EMZ Series), turret (EMT Series) and fixed (EMF Series) stereo bodies. The UL Stand is a great complement to our Stereo microscopes due to the focus block’s ability to be easily raised vertically to accommodate different sample heights or special applications.

Multi-coated optical components, free form chromatic and spherical aberration, provide crystal-clear, high resolution images. The Greenough optical design provides superior erect, unreversed, stereoscopic images, rich in contrast, brightness and correct in their original color. Ergonomic Design:
All EMZ Series zoom stereo microscope bodies feature a compact lightweight design. Every stereo body features adjustment diopter tubes and interpupillary distance adjustment. Observation tubes are inclined at 45°, 60° or 90° for convenient fatigue free viewing depending on the application, A range of fixed of tilting focus blocks are available to mount the microscope body onto existing O.E.M. equipment. A choice of Zoom, Turret or Fixed magnification bodies with various working distances, optional auxiliary objectives and eyepieces, multiple adjustable stands, versatile illumination systems, and auxiliary components allow the end user to design a system to fulfill their specific requirements.
