What It Does

A stereo zoom binocular microscope is used to observe relatively large objects at low to medium magnification while providing a three-dimensional (3D) view. It has two eyepieces and separate optical paths that give each eye a slightly different angle of the specimen, creating depth perception. This makes it useful for examining the surface details of objects that cannot easily be placed on microscope slides, such as insects, plant parts, rocks, and small manufactured components.

These microscopes are commonly used in fields such as biology, electronics, manufacturing, gemology, and forensics. Scientists may use them for dissecting small organisms, while technicians use them to inspect circuit boards, solder small parts, or check for defects in materials. Jewelers and gemologists use them to examine gemstones and jewelry craftsmanship, and forensic investigators analyze small evidence like fibers or fragments under them.

EMZ-5: Microscope Head
The EMZ-5 body delivers sharp, high-contrast images and an excellent zoom range of 6.5:1. It provides exceptionally high-resolution images all throughout the zoom range. The EMZ-5 employs Greenough optics, for improved image flatness and contrast. As a result, images are brighter and more distinct even at the periphery of the field of view. With the large zoom range, the EMZ-5 offers high resolution observation in precision-oriented semi-conductor, medical device and routine inspection. In addition to its compact design and versatility, a wide variety of auxiliary lenses and stands are available to allow the user to customize their desired working distance to adapt to almost any application.

MA502: Eyepiece
Included is the MA502 Super Widefield Eyepiece 10X (pair) with 25mm reticle mount Field No. 23.0, Eye Relief 16.0, Focal Length 25.0.

P: Stand
The P stand in Meiji Techno America’s basic pole stand with “F” focusing holder mounted on a plain base. It accepts our EMZ, EMT and EMF stereo microscope bodies. It is supplied with a 94.5mm diameter reversible black and white stage plate with a locking pin, two stainless steel stage clips and a 20mm diameter vertical pole. The P stand’s compact design allows users to maximize their work area, so that operation in limited space becomes possible. Since there is no built-in illumination, it allows the end-user to select from a variety of incident light options from an LED ring light to a dual arm fiber optic system.

MA961C/40: Cool White LED Ring Light
MA961C/40 delivers powerful, microscope quality cool white light from the precision aligned LED array. Our CAD designed ring light system contains 40 top quality high-brightness white LEDs housed in a machined aluminum and molded plastic enclosure. Our advanced LED controller utilizes a proprietary constant current design to provide maximum light output with long life and no color shift when dimming. This key feature is integrated into the compact ring light housing.
