What It Does

The EMZ-5 + MA502 + PKC Stand Configuration System is a robust and adaptable stereo microscope solution tailored for industrial, biological, and precision inspection applications. At its core is the EMZ-5 zoom stereo microscope head, which offers a wide 6.5:1 zoom range (0.7×–4.5×) with crisp, high-contrast imaging throughout thanks to its Greenough optical design—ideal for revealing fine detail in components, specimens, and assemblies. This configuration includes a pair of MA502 Super Widefield 10× eyepieces that provide an expansive field of view and comfortable eye relief, resulting in a usable magnification range of 7×–45× and excellent clarity for routine and demanding observation tasks. Supporting the optical system is the PKC ergonomic wide plain pole stand, designed to bring both stability and flexibility to your workbench. This stand requires external illumination and features an integral FC coarse and fine focusing holder with an 84.5 mm diameter opening, enabling precise vertical adjustments for samples of varying heights. The stand also accommodates up to three standard petri dishes on its wide base work surface and includes a 94.5 mm reversible black-and-white stage plate with stainless steel clips to securely hold specimens. Its ergonomic design and chemical-resistant finish make it a practical choice for labs, production floors, and quality-control environments where comfort and performance matter.

EMZ-5: Microscope Head
The EMZ-5 body delivers sharp, high-contrast images and an excellent zoom range of 6.5:1 that provides exceptionally high-resolution images all throughout the zoom range. The EMZ-5 employs Greenough optics, for improved image flatness and contrast. As a result, images are brighter and more distinct even at the periphery of the field of view. With the large zoom range, the EMZ-5 offers high resolution observation in precision-oriented semi-conductor, medical device and routine inspection. In addition to its compact design and versatility a wide variety of auxiliary lenses and stands are available to allow the user to customize their desired working distance to adapt to almost any application.

MA502: Eyepieces
Included is the MA502 Super Widefield Eyepiece 10X (pair) with 25mm reticle mount Field No. 23.0, Eye Relief 16.0, Focal Length 25.0

PKC: Stand
The PKC Stand is Meiji Techno America’s most popular Ergonomic Wide Plain Pole stand which requires external illumination and is the perfect stand if you need a coarse and fine focus movement. This Ergonomic stand can accommodate up to three standard size petri dishes on the top surface. Equipped with an integral FC focusing holder with Coarse and Fine focus adjustment and an 84.5mm round diameter opening, mounted on a low profile ergonomic wide cast aluminum alloy stand. Supplied with one 94.5mm diameter reversible black and white stage plate (MA568) and two stainless steel stage clips (MA593). The PKC Stand is designed for the zoom (EMZ Series) and can also be used for our turret (EMT Series), fixed (EMF Series) stereo bodies. The PKC stand is a great complement to our Stereo microscopes due to the focus block’s ability to be easily raised vertically if needed for special applications. A 5” extension pillar for the threaded vertical post is also available if needed to accommodate taller specimens (MA551). Chemical Resistant Finish and is 100% MADE IN JAPAN.

Superb Optics:
Multi-coated optical components, free form chromatic and spherical aberration, provide crystal-clear, high resolution images. The Greenough optical design provides superior erect, unreversed, stereoscopic images, rich in contrast, brightness and correct in their original color. Excellent depth of field and a flat image rendition are also characteristic of the EMZ Series product line.

Ergonomic Design:
All EMZ Series zoom stereo microscope bodies feature a compact lightweight design. Every stereo body features adjustment diopter tubes and interpupillary distance adjustment. Observation tubes are inclined at 45°, 60° or 90° for convenient fatigue free viewing depending on the application, A range of fixed of tilting focus blocks are available to mount the microscope body onto existing O.E.M. equipment. A choice of Zoom, Turret or Fixed magnification bodies with various working distances, optional auxiliary objectives and eyepieces, multiple adjustable stands, versatile illumination systems, and auxiliary components allow the end user to design a system to fulfill their specific requirements.
