What It Does

A stereo zoom microscope is used to closely inspect small objects while allowing adjustable magnification and a three-dimensional view. EMZ-5H: Microscope Head
The EMZ-5H is a New and Improved High Eyepoint model with an eye relief of 20.9mm designed for microscopists and for people who wear glasses. It is specially designed to give the user more clearance between their eyes and the microscope. The high eyepoint models also uses a newly designed eyepiece with a wider designed lens to compliment the high eyepoint models (MA522 10X, MA818 15X, MA819 20X) Optional rubber eye guards (MA906) are also available. The EMZ-5H body delivers sharp, high-contrast images and an excellent zoom range of 6.5:1 that provides exceptionally high-resolution images all throughout the zoom range. This EMZ-5H model has a ½” (12.7mm) more field of view than the standard EMZ-5 model ideal for eyeglass users but also compatible for all. The EMZ-5H employs Greenough optics, for improved image flatness and contrast. As a result, images are brighter and more distinct even at the periphery of the field of view. With the large zoom range, the EMZ-5H offers high resolution observation in precision-oriented semi-conductor, medical device and routine inspection. In addition to its compact design and versatility a wide variety of auxiliary lenses and stands are available to allow the user to customize their desired working distance to adapt to almost any application. Suitable for eyeglass users.

MA522: Eyepieces 
MA522 Super Widefield Eyepiece is included, high eye point 10X (paired) (With 25mm reticle mount) (Fits EMZ-5H, EMZ-5TRH, EMZ-8TRH, EMZ-10H models only)

F: Focus Block 
Focusing holder with rack and pinion mount that allows smooth, precise focusing over 55mm of travel. Coarse focus mechanism incorporates a slip clutch and tension adjustment. Fits 20mm diameter, 71mm long mounting post. The 84.2mm diameter opening accepts all EM Series stereo bodies.

UL: Stand 
The UL Stand is Meiji Techno America’s special universal-stand with pillar, crossarm and mounting post, and rotatable tray to hold optional fiber optic light source. The UL gives the user a large laminate work surface. It provides flexible horizontal and vertical movement for mid-sized specimens and large electronic components. It has a 20mm diameter short drop-down mounting post that accepts F, FX or FC holders (must be ordered separately). Base: 580mm x 500 x 38mm. UL is also a laminate board stand which requires external illumination and focus holder. The FL fiber optic illuminator series fit the footprint of the fiber optic tray perfectly. This UL ergonomic stand can accommodate an extended work surface for use with large circuit boards or animal surgery which requires a wide surface area. The UL stand is designed for the zoom (EMZ Series), turret (EMT Series) and fixed (EMF Series) stereo bodies. It is a great complement to our Stereo microscopes due to the focus block’s ability to be easily raised vertically to accommodate different sample heights or special applications.

FL5000-US-RL: Microscopy & General Illumination
The FL5000-US-RL is designed for microscopy and general illumination; this unit is energy efficient and features cool white LED lighting with a color temp of 5000K and higher output than the typical 150-watt halogen fiber optic illuminator. The FL-5000 supports and fully illuminates gooseneck and annular ring light fiber optics. It is also a great option for inspection equipment, forensics, machine vision, industrial borescopes, assembly stations, and OEM custom lighting. The long-life LEDs of this unit are rated to provide over 40,000 hours of light.

EMZ-5H: Microscope Head

The EMZ-5H High Eyepoint Binocular Stereo Zoom Body is a precision-engineered microscope component designed to deliver exceptionally clear, high-contrast imaging with a versatile 6.5:1 zoom range (0.7×–4.5×) and a comfortable 93 mm working distance, ideal for detailed inspection in semiconductor, medical device, and routine lab applications. Featuring Greenough optics for improved image flatness and brightness, this high eyepoint model offers extended eye relief (~20.9 mm) that provides extra clearance for eyeglass wearers while maintaining sharp resolution throughout the entire zoom range. Its sturdy cast aluminum construction with a 360° rotatable binocular head, interpupillary and dioptric adjustments ensures ergonomic use and adaptability, while the requirement for paired MA522 10× high eyepoint eyepieces allows customization for specific magnification needs.

Ergonomic Design:
All EMZ Series zoom stereo microscope bodies feature a compact lightweight design. Every stereo body features adjustment diopter tubes and interpupillary distance adjustment. Observation tubes are inclined at 45°, 60° or 90° for convenient fatigue free viewing depending on the application, A range of fixed of tilting focus blocks are available to mount the microscope body onto existing O.E.M. equipment.
