What It Does

The EMZ-5H + MA522 + PL Stand Configuration System is a precision stereo microscope setup designed for professional inspection, research, and general laboratory applications requiring clear, detailed stereoscopic imaging. At its core is the EMZ-5 zoom stereo microscope body, which features a wide 6.5:1 zoom ratio (0.7×–4.5×) and Greenough optical design to deliver sharp, high-contrast images with excellent flatness and detail throughout the field of view. When paired with the included MA502 Super Widefield 10× eyepieces, this system offers a total magnification range of 7×–45×, making it well-suited for observing small components, biological specimens, and precision parts in industrial and educational settings. The system is mounted on the PK ergonomic pole stand, Meiji Techno’s extended working-distance stand that combines stability with flexibility for a variety of sample sizes. This stand includes an integral “F” focusing holder that makes vertical adjustments smooth and precise, along with a 94.5 mm reversible black-and-white stage plate and two stainless steel clips to secure specimens during observation. Because the PK stand requires an external illumination source, users can choose appropriate LED ring lights, fiber-optic systems, or other light options to customize illumination for their specific application. The compact, ergonomic base helps maximize workspace while providing dependable support for detailed microscopy work.

EMZ-5H: Microscope Head
The EMZ-5H is a New and Improved High Eyepoint model with an eye relief of 20.9mm designed for microscopists and for people who wear glasses. It is specially designed to give the user more clearance between their eyes and the microscope. The high eyepoint models also uses a newly designed eyepiece with a wider designed lens to compliment the high eyepoint models (MA522 10X, MA818 15X, MA819 20X) Optional rubber eye guards (MA906) are also available. The EMZ-5H body delivers sharp, high-contrast images and an excellent zoom range of 6.5:1 that provides exceptionally high-resolution images all throughout the zoom range. This EMZ-5H model has a ½” (12.7mm) more field of view than the standard EMZ-5 model ideal for eyeglass users but also compatible for all. The EMZ-5H employs Greenough optics, for improved image flatness and contrast. As a result, images are brighter and more distinct even at the periphery of the field of view. With the large zoom range, the EMZ-5H offers high resolution observation in precision-oriented semi-conductor, medical device and routine inspection. In addition to its compact design and versatility a wide variety of auxiliary lenses and stands are available to allow the user to customize their desired working distance to adapt to almost any application. Suitable for eyeglass users.

MA522: Eyepieces 
MA522 Super Widefield Eyepiece is included, high eye point 10X (paired) (With 25mm reticle mount) (Fits EMZ-5H, EMZ-5TRH, EMZ-8TRH, EMZ-10H models only)

PL: Pole Stand 
The PL stand in Meiji Techno’s basic pole stand with “FX” focusing holder with integral illuminator port designed to hold the FL150/50 focusing lens with the FL150/12 or the FL150/12-60 single arm fiber optic cable attached to a FL150/115 illuminator. The PL Stand is mounted on a plain base, and it accepts our 84mm EMZ, EMT and EMF stereo microscope bodies. Supplied with a 94.5mm diameter reversible black and white stage plate with a locking pin and two stainless steel stage clips and a 20mm diameter vertical pole. The PL stands compact design allows users to maximize their work area, so that operation in limited space becomes possible. Since there is no built-in illumination, it allows the end-user to select from a variety of incident light options from an LED ring light to a dual arm fiber optic system.

EMZ-5H: Microscope Head

The EMZ-5H High Eyepoint Binocular Stereo Zoom Body is a precision-engineered microscope component designed to deliver exceptionally clear, high-contrast imaging with a versatile 6.5:1 zoom range (0.7×–4.5×) and a comfortable 93 mm working distance, ideal for detailed inspection in semiconductor, medical device, and routine lab applications. Featuring Greenough optics for improved image flatness and brightness, this high eyepoint model offers extended eye relief (~20.9 mm) that provides extra clearance for eyeglass wearers while maintaining sharp resolution throughout the entire zoom range. Its sturdy cast aluminum construction with a 360° rotatable binocular head, interpupillary and dioptric adjustments ensures ergonomic use and adaptability, while the requirement for paired MA522 10× high eyepoint eyepieces allows customization for specific magnification needs.

Ergonomic Design:

Observation tubes are inclined at 45°, 60° or 90° for convenient fatigue free viewing depending on the application, A range of fixed of tilting focus blocks are available to mount the microscope body onto existing O.E.M. equipment.
