EMZ-5H: Microscope Head
The EMZ-5H is a New and Improved High Eyepoint model with an eye relief of 20.9mm designed for microscopists and for people who wear glasses. It is specially designed to give the user more clearance between their eyes and the microscope. The high eyepoint models also uses a newly designed eyepiece with a wider designed lens to compliment the high eyepoint models (MA522 10X, MA818 15X, MA819 20X) Optional rubber eye guards (MA906) are also available. The EMZ-5H body delivers sharp, high-contrast images and an excellent zoom range of 6.5:1 that provides exceptionally high-resolution images all throughout the zoom range. This EMZ-5H model has a ½” (12.7mm) more field of view than the standard EMZ-5 model ideal for eyeglass users but also compatible for all. The EMZ-5H employs Greenough optics, for improved image flatness and contrast. As a result, images are brighter and more distinct even at the periphery of the field of view. With the large zoom range, the EMZ-5H offers high resolution observation in precision-oriented semi-conductor, medical device and routine inspection. In addition to its compact design and versatility a wide variety of auxiliary lenses and stands are available to allow the user to customize their desired working distance to adapt to almost any application. PLS-2: Pole Stand
The PLS-2 Stand is Meiji Techno America’s most popular narrow footprint LED stand with built in transmitted and incident LED illumination which may be operated independently or simultaneously. Since LED provides no direct heat, there won’t be any external stress on the specimen placed on the stage. Equipped with an integral F focusing holder with an 84.5mm round diameter opening, mounted on a low profile wide cast aluminum alloy base stable stand. Supplied with 94.5mm clear glass stage plate (MA569) and two stainless steel stage clips (MA593). The PLS-2 Stand is designed for use mostly with zoom (EMZ Series) but can also be used for our turret (EMT Series), fixed (EMF Series) stereo bodies. The PLS-2 stand is a great complement to our Stereo microscopes due to the focus block’s ability to be easily raised vertically if needed for special applications. A 5” extension pillar for the threaded vertical post is also available if needed to accommodate taller specimens (MA551). Chemical Resistant Finish and is auto-voltage sensing power supply (100V-240V).
EMZ-5H: Microscope Head
The EMZ-5H High Eyepoint Binocular Stereo Zoom Body is a precision-engineered microscope component designed to deliver exceptionally clear, high-contrast imaging with a versatile 6.5:1 zoom range (0.7×–4.5×) and a comfortable 93 mm working distance, ideal for detailed inspection in semiconductor, medical device, and routine lab applications. Featuring Greenough optics for improved image flatness and brightness, this high eyepoint model offers extended eye relief (~20.9 mm) that provides extra clearance for eyeglass wearers while maintaining sharp resolution throughout the entire zoom range. Its sturdy cast aluminum construction with a 360° rotatable binocular head, interpupillary and dioptric adjustments ensures ergonomic use and adaptability, while the requirement for paired MA522 10× high eyepoint eyepieces allows customization for specific magnification needs.
