What It Does

The Meiji Techno EMZ-5TRH is a trinocular stereo zoom microscope head designed to deliver clear, three-dimensional images for detailed inspection and precision work. It features a 0.7x–4.5x zoom range (7x–45x magnification when used with 10x eyepieces), high-eyepoint optics for comfortable viewing—especially for eyeglass wearers—and a 93mm working distance that provides ample space for handling tools or samples. The trinocular port allows a camera to be attached for capturing images or video, making it ideal for electronics inspection, quality control, laboratory work, and educational applications.

A stereo zoom microscope head is used to produce a clear, three-dimensional (3D) magnified view of objects while allowing the user to smoothly adjust magnification through a zoom range. Unlike standard compound microscopes, it provides depth perception, making it ideal for working on solid objects rather than thin slides.

EMZ-5TRH: Microscope Head

The EMZ-5TRH is a new and improved high eyepoint model with an eye relief of 20.9mm designed for microscopists and for people who wear glasses. It is specially designed to give the user more clearance between their eyes and the microscope. The high eyepoint models also uses a newly designed eyepiece with a wider designed lens to compliment the high eyepoint model optional eyepieces for this model: MA522 10X, MA818/2 15X, MA819/2 20X. Optional rubber eye guards (MA906 – each) are also available.

The EMZ-5TRH trinocular zoom body is used for photography and video applications. When the beamsplitter is engaged, 100% of the light from the left optical path is directed to the phototube. The image can still be viewed through the right eyetube. The EMZ-5TRH employs Greenough optics for improved image flatness and contrast.

It offers high resolution erect unreversed stereoscopic images. In addition to its compact design and versatility, a wide variety of auxiliary lenses and stands are available to allow the user to customize their desired working distance to adapt to almost any application. Photomicrography is made easy with over 300 available digital, analog and SLR camera adapters. Also suitable for eyeglass users.
