What It Does

A stereo zoom trinocular microscope is typically used for close-up inspection and hands-on work with small objects in 3D, where depth perception and room to use tools are important. Unlike standard lab microscopes, it provides moderate magnification with a long working distance, making it ideal for tasks like electronics repair (soldering and inspecting circuit boards), jewelry and gem examination, watchmaking, industrial quality control, and biological dissections; the “zoom” feature lets you smoothly adjust magnification, the “stereo” optics give a true three-dimensional view, and the “trinocular” port allows you to attach a camera for recording, imaging, or live viewing on a screen

EMZ-8TRD: Microscope Head
The The EMZ-8TRD zoom body offers detent click-stops and directs light to all three viewing ports simultaneously. The EMZ-8TRD is designed for high-contrast images and an excellent zoom range of 6.5:1 that is parfocalled all throughout the zoom range. The EMZ-8TRD employs Greenough optics for improved image flatness and contrast. As a result, images are brighter and more distinct even at the periphery of the field of view. The EMZ-8TRD offers erect unreversed stereoscopic images which contribute in making high resolution observations in precision-oriented semi-conductor, medical device, and routine inspection. In addition to its compact design and versatility, a wide variety of auxiliary lenses and stands are available to allow the user to customize their desired working distance to adapt to almost any application. It has photomicrography made easy with over 300 available digital, analog and SLR camera adapters.

MA502: Eyepieces 
Included is the MA502 Super Widefield Eyepiece 10X (pair) with 25mm reticle mount Field No. 23.0, Eye Relief 16.0, Focal Length 25.0.

FSC: Focus Block 
The FSC is an inclinable coarse and fine adjusting focus block with 5/8″ diameter mounting pin to hold the stereo microscope body onto any machine or other special applications. The 84.2mm diameter opening accepts all EM Series stereo bodies.

SAS-4: Stand 
The SAS-4 Articulating Heavy Duty Boom Stand is Meiji Techno America’s most popular Ergonomic boom stand with vertical pillar, articulating arm and a 5/8” bonder pin mount which fits industry standard focus blocks with a 5/8” bonder pin dowel. The SAS-4 is equipped with a 406.4mm (16”) vertical pole. The SAS-4 offers minimal space requirement and greatest possible amount stability for EM stereo system up to 30 lbs. There is no loss of stability even at its furthest travel. The SAS-4 can swing out of the way easily, clearing the workstation for other tasks. The horizontal arm can be moved freely and smoothly left to right or can be securely locked into position with our spring-loaded handle knobs. The vertical column is used to compensate for taller specimen heights to accommodate the working distances of different microscope bodies. Anti-rotation is stabilized by a locking pin on the vertical post. The SAS-4 Articulating Heavy Duty Boom stand provides a comfortable amount of space for large Solar panels to large semiconductor and electrical components. The SAS-4 is supported by a 80.00 lbs. base. This boom stand is affordable; low cost with high quality safety features makes this boom stand unmatched value in its class. This stand has ample height and long reach to work on an inspect small to large parts under the microscope. Ergonomic flexibility, chemical resistant paint finish and corrosion resistant stainless-steel columns make this boom stand an excellent choice in labs and production facilities.

FSC: Focus Block

FSC Coarse and Fine Focus Block/Holder with 5/8" bonder pin diameter, 84.2 Inner Diameter Ring for all EM Series

The FSC Coarse and Fine Focus Block/Holder is an inclinable coarse and fine adjusting focus block with 5/8″ diameter mounting pin to hold the stereo microscope body onto any machine or other special applications. The 84.2mm diameter opening accepts all EM Series stereo bodies.

Focusing holders hold the microscope body and contain the mechanism that raises or lowers the body to focus on the specimen. Complete stands include their own focusing holders. But for other kinds of tasks, however, it may be necessary to mount the microscope body on a boom arm stand or directly onto a machine or some other surface. The focusing holders below offer a range of options for such applications.

FSC: Inclinable coarse and fine focusing block with 5/8″ diameter mounting bonder pin to hold the stereo body on machines or for special applications (For use with S-4300, S-4400, S-1300, S-2300, BAS-3, SAS-3, SAS-4, SAS-7 boom stand)

• SAS-4 Articulating heavy duty industrial-type boom stand comes with a OS-LAEA (Lift Arm End Adapter) which accommodates focus blocks with a 5/8” bonder pin dowel which perfectly complements our EMZ (Zoom), EMT (Turret), EMF (Fixed) Series Stereo Microscope with the proper FS or FSC tilting focus blocks. Lift Articulating Arm offers the greatest amount of reach along with ease to vertical positioning
• If one of your main requirements is to have the ability to tilt the microscope at an angle the SAS-3 will be a perfect fit for your laboratory
• Total arm length gives the user a total of 37” from the center of the vertical pole to the center of the focus block
