What It Does

Stereo zoom trinocular microscopes with high‑eyepoint eyepieces are designed for applications requiring highly detailed, three-dimensional observation of objects while maintaining a comfortable working distance and the ability to manipulate items under the lens. They are widely used in electronics inspection and repair, allowing precise examination of circuit boards, solder joints, and small components, as well as in precision assembly and manufacturing, where accurate alignment and placement of tiny parts are critical. These microscopes are also ideal for quality control, metrology, and defect analysis, enabling operators to detect subtle surface features and irregularities. The trinocular design allows simultaneous camera attachment for documentation or instructional purposes without interrupting the live view, while the high-eyepoint eyepieces provide comfortable viewing for users with glasses and reduce eye strain during extended use. Additional applications include medical device inspection, educational demonstrations, jewelry making, watchmaking, and other hands-on tasks where both fine visual detail and space to work under the objective are essential.

EMZ-8TRH: Trinocular Microscope Head + MA522: Eyepieces + F: Focus Block + UL: Stand + FL5000-US-SG: Illuminator

EMZ-8TRH: Microscope Head
The EMZ-8TRH is a new and improved high eyepoint model with an eye relief of 20.9mm designed for microscopists and for people who wear glasses. It is specially designed to give the user more clearance between their eyes and the microscope. The high eyepoint models also use a newly designed eyepiece with a wider designed lens to compliment the high eyepoint models (MA522 10X, MA818 15X, MA819 20X). Optional rubber eye guards (MA906) are also available. The EMZ-8TRH Trinocular High Eyepoint with 0.7x-4.5x zoom ratio offers direct light to all three viewing ports simultaneously. The EMZ-8TRH is designed for high-contrast images and has an excellent zoom range of 6.5:1 that is parfocalled all throughout the zoom range. It has Greenough optics for improved image flatness and contrast which results in brighter images at the periphery of the field of view. The EMZ-8TRH offers erect unreversed stereoscopic images providing high resolution observation in precision-oriented semi-conductor, medical device and routine inspection.

MA522: Eyepieces 
MA522 Super Widefield Eyepiece is included, high eye point 10X (paired) (With 25mm reticle mount) (Fits EMZ-5H, EMZ-5TRH, EMZ-8TRH, EMZ-10H models only)

F: Focus Block 
Focusing holder with rack and pinion mount that allows smooth, precise focusing over 55mm of travel. Coarse focus mechanism incorporates a slip clutch and tension adjustment. Fits 20mm diameter, 71mm long mounting post. The 84.2mm diameter opening accepts all EM Series stereo bodies.

UL: Stand 
The UL Stand is Meiji Techno America’s special universal-stand with pillar, crossarm and mounting post, and rotatable tray to hold optional fiber optic light source. The UL gives the user a large laminate work surface. It provides flexible horizontal and vertical movement for mid-sized specimens and large electronic components. It has a 20mm diameter short drop-down mounting post that accepts F, FX or FC holders (must be ordered separately). Base: 580mm x 500 x 38mm. UL is also a laminate board stand which requires external illumination and focus holder. The FL fiber optic illuminator series fit the footprint of the fiber optic tray perfectly. This UL ergonomic stand can accommodate an extended work surface for use with large circuit boards or animal surgery which requires a wide surface area. The UL stand is designed for the zoom (EMZ Series), turret (EMT Series) and fixed (EMF Series) stereo bodies. It is a great complement to our Stereo microscopes due to the focus block’s ability to be easily raised vertically to accommodate different sample heights or special applications.

FL5000-US-SG: Single Arm Illumination 
The FL5000-US-SG is designed for microscopy and general illumination; this unit is energy efficient and features cool white LED lighting with a color temp of 5000K and higher output than the typical 150-watt halogen fiber optic illuminator. The FL-5000 supports and fully illuminates gooseneck and annular ring light fiber optics. It is also a great option for inspection equipment, forensics, machine vision, industrial borescopes, assembly stations, and OEM custom lighting. The long-life LEDs of this unit are rated to provide over 40,000 hours of light.
