Key Components

  • EMZ-8TRU Trinocular Head with Top Light Port – 360° rotatable zoom head with simultaneous 3-port viewing and a fiber-optic top-light inlet aligned to the optical axis

Optical Performance

  • Zoom Range: 0.7× – 4.5× (zoom ratio ~6.5:1)
  • System Magnification: ~7× to 45× with 10× eyepieces
  • Working Distance: 104 mm (4.1 in)
  • Parfocal zoom design keeps the image in focus while changing magnification
  • Greenough stereoscopic optics deliver high contrast, improved image flatness, and bright edge-to-edge viewing
  • Erect, unreversed 3D image output for natural depth perception and orientation

What It Does

The EMZ-8TRU trinocular zoom stereo microscope with NVI provides true 3D (stereoscopic) viewing for detailed inspection and analysis of small objects, while allowing simultaneous observation through eyepieces and image capture via a camera. Its near-vertical (coaxial-style) illumination efficiently highlights hard-to-see features such as cracks, holes, scratches, IC patterns, and reflective or low-contrast surfaces that are challenging to detect with standard lighting. This makes it ideal for precision applications like electronics inspection, materials analysis, and quality control, where clear, high-contrast visualization is essential.

Description

EMZ-8TRU: Trinocular Microscope Head

EMZ-8TRU: Microscope Head
The EMZ-8TRU zoom body offers direct light to all three viewing ports simultaneously. The EMZ-8TRU has a special inlet for a single arm fiber optic light guide which allows illumination to be paralleled to the optic path which are designed for observing objects that are normally difficult to see under oblique incident-light illumination such as holes or cracks, scratches on metal surfaces, IC chips and liquid crystal patterns. The EMZ-8TRU is designed for high-contrast images and an excellent zoom range of 6.5:1 that is parfocalled all throughout the zoom range. The EMZ-8TRU includes Greenough optics for improved image flatness and contrast which results in brighter images at the periphery of the field of view. The EMZ-8TRU offers erect and unreversed stereoscopic images as well. Its modular versatility complements a wide variety of auxiliary lenses and stands that are available to allow users to customize their desired working distance to almost any application. Photomicrography made easy with over 300 available digital, analog and SLR camera adapters.
