What It Does

EMZ-8UD: Microscope Head
The EMZ-8UD has a special inlet for a single arm fiber optic light guide which allows illumination to be paralleled to the optic path; it is also designed for observing objects that are normally difficult to see under oblique incident-light illumination such as holes or cracks, scratches on metal surfaces, IC chips and liquid crystal patterns. The EMZ-8UD is designed for high-contrast images and has an excellent zoom range of 6.5:1 that is parfocalled all throughout the zoom range. It also includes Greenough optics for improved image flatness and contrast which results in brighter images at the periphery of the field of view. With the large zoom range, the EMZ-8UD offers high resolution observation in precision-oriented semi-conductor, medical device and routine inspection. In addition to its compact design and versatility, a wide variety of auxiliary lenses and stands are available to allow the user to customize their desired working distance to adapt to almost any application.

MA502: Eyepieces 
Included is the MA502 Super Widefield Eyepiece 10X (pair) with 25mm reticle mount Field No. 23.0, Eye Relief 16.0, Focal Length 25.0.

FSC: Focus Block 
The FSC is an inclinable coarse and fine adjusting focus block with 5/8″ diameter mounting pin to hold the stereo microscope body onto any machine or other special applications. The 84.2mm diameter opening accepts all EM Series stereo bodies.

BAS-3: Stand 
The BAS-3 Heavy Duty Boom Stand is Meiji Techno America’s most popular Ergonomic boom stand with pillar, crossarm and a 5/8” Bonder Mount socket at the end of the horizontal arm to perfectly accept industry standard focus blocks with a 5/8” bonder pin dowel. The BAS-3 is equipped with a 635mm (25”) vertical pole and a 457.2mm (18”) horizontal pole. The BAS-3 offers minimal space requirement and greatest possible amount stability for EM Series stereo systems up to 35 lbs. There is no loss of stability even at its furthest travel. The BAS-3 can swing out of the way easily, clearing the workstation for other tasks. The horizontal arm can be moved freely and smoothly left to right or can be securely locked into position with our spring-loaded handle knobs. The vertical column is used to compensate for taller specimen heights to accommodate the working distances of different microscope bodies. Anti-rotation is stabilized by a locking pin on the vertical post. The BAS-3 Heavy Duty Boom stand provides a comfortable amount of space for microscope systems that require tilt when viewing the sample at an angle. It is designed for large biological specimens to large semiconductor and electrical components. The BAS-3 is supported by an 80.00 lbs. base. This boom stand is affordable; low cost with high quality safety features makes this boom stand unmatched value in its class. This stand has ample height and long reach to work on an inspect small to large parts under the microscope. Ergonomic flexibility, chemical resistant paint finish and corrosion resistant stainless-steel columns make this boom stand an excellent choice in labs and production facilities.

FSC: Focus Block

The FSC Coarse and Fine Focus Block/Holder is an inclinable coarse and fine adjusting focus block with (15.8mm) 5/8″ diameter mounting pin to hold the stereo microscope body onto any machine or other special applications. The 84.2mm diameter opening accepts all EM Series stereo bodies.
Focusing holders hold the microscope body and contain the mechanism that raises or lowers the body to focus on the specimen. Complete stands include their own focusing holders. But for other kinds of tasks, however, it may be necessary to mount the microscope body on a boom arm stand or directly onto a machine or some other surface. The focusing holders below offer a range of options for such applications.

BAS-3: Boom Stand

BAS-3 Heavy Duty Dual Boom Stand with 5/8 bonder pin holder for EM Series
