What It Does

A stereo zoom microscope with a top light port is used when you need precise, shadow-free illumination directed straight down through the optics (called coaxial lighting), which is especially helpful for inspecting reflective or flat surfaces; people commonly use it in electronics (to examine solder joints and IC chips), precision machining (to spot scratches or tool wear), gemology (to see inclusions and polish quality), and materials science or semiconductor work (to detect micro-cracks, coatings, or fine patterns), because this type of lighting reveals details that angled lights like ring lights can miss.

EMZ-8UD: Microscope Head
The EMZ-8UD has a special inlet for a single arm fiber optic light guide which allows illumination to be paralleled to the optic path; it is also designed for observing objects that are normally difficult to see under oblique incident-light illumination such as holes or cracks, scratches on metal surfaces, IC chips and liquid crystal patterns. The EMZ-8UD is designed for high-contrast images and has an excellent zoom range of 6.5:1 that is parfocalled all throughout the zoom range. It also includes Greenough optics for improved image flatness and contrast which results in brighter images at the periphery of the field of view. With the large zoom range, the EMZ-8UD offers high resolution observation in precision-oriented semi-conductor, medical device and routine inspection. In addition to its compact design and versatility, a wide variety of auxiliary lenses and stands are available to allow the user to customize their desired working distance to adapt to almost any application.

MA502: Eyepieces 
Included is the MA502 Super Widefield Eyepiece 10X (pair) with 25mm reticle mount Field No. 23.0, Eye Relief 16.0, Focal Length 25.0.

MA551: Extension Pillar
This P stand also has a MA551 attachment which is a 4″ extension aluminum pillar in which gives the whole stand a height of 348mm. The P stand’s compact design allows users to maximize their work area so that operation in limited space becomes possible. Since there is no built-in illumination, it allows the end-user to select from a variety of incident light options from an LED ring light to a dual arm fiber optic system

P: Stand 
The P stand in Meiji Techno America’s basic pole stand with “F” focusing holder mounted on a plain base. It accepts our EMZ, EMT and EMF stereo microscope bodies. It is supplied with a 94.5mm diameter reversible black and white stage plate with a locking pin, two stainless steel stage clips and a 20mm diameter vertical pole. This P stand also has a MA551 attachment which is a 4″ extension aluminum pillar in which gives the whole stand a height of 348mm. The P stand’s compact design allows users to maximize their work area so that operation in limited space becomes possible. Since there is no built-in illumination, it allows the end-user to select from a variety of incident light options from an LED ring light to a dual arm fiber optic system.
