The Meiji Techno MT5310EH Halogen Ergonomic Trinocular Brightfield/Phase Contrast Microscope is a laboratory-grade instrument engineered for advanced biological research and clinical applications. Part of the MT5000 Series Biological Microscopes, it integrates Meiji Techno’s newly improved U.Plan optics with the advanced Infinity Corrected Optical System (ICOS™) to deliver bright, crisp images with superior flat fields of view and excellent color fidelity. Its ergonomic trinocular head tilts vertically from 10° to 50° for maximum user comfort, while 30W halogen Köhler illumination, a quintuple nosepiece, and an auto voltage sensing power supply ensure stable performance in demanding laboratory settings. Built on a rigid cast aluminum alloy frame with a chemical-resistant finish, the MT5310EH combines durability, stability, and precision in a cost-effective design.
Phase contrast imaging on the MT5310EH is achieved through precise alignment of the optical system. Using a phase telescope inserted into one of the eyepiece ports, the condenser annulus in the substage condenser turret is matched with the phase plate in the rear focal plane of each Phase objective. Each objective requires a corresponding annulus based on its magnification and numerical aperture (N.A.): the Ph1 annulus is used with the 10X and 20X objectives, the Ph2 annulus with the 40X objective, and the Ph3 annulus with the 100X high-power objective. Properly aligning these components ensures that illuminating light rays are superimposed on the objective’s phase ring, producing sharp, high-contrast images of unstained and transparent specimens—making the MT5310EH an essential tool for live cell observation and other advanced biological studies.

VIEWING HEADS
Model MA815 is the Siedentopf-type binocular head and Model MA816 is the trinocular head for camera integration. Each head has the eyetubes inclined at 30 degrees with the left eyetube having graduated diopter settings. The interpupillary distance is adjustable between 53mm – 75mm. An 80/20 beamsplitter for the trinocular tube can be engaged for photo work. (100% to eyetubes or 80% to phototube & 20% to the eyetube.) The optional MA957, Ergonomic Binocular Viewing Head, has the inclination adjustable from 10 to 50 degrees to fit users of different heights. The Ergonomic Trinocular model comes with the MA958, photo/video attachment with sliding 80/20 beam-splitter (Included in MT5300ED).

10X Super Widefield High Eyepoint eyepieces F.N.22 are standard, and 15X and 20X eyepieces are available as an option. A Super Widefield High Eyepoint 10X focusable eyepiece that accepts 25mm reticules is also available.

Meiji Techno offers a broad range of digital video cameras which offers excellent sensitivity, high resolution and a wide dynamic range for the most demanding brightfield and darkfield microscopy applications including clinical pathology and cytology, life sciences and geology.
