The Meiji Techno Trinocular Phase Contrast Brightfield Compound Microscope is engineered for advanced laboratory and clinical applications, combining versatility, precision, and durability. It is equipped with bright 30W halogen Köhler illumination, a quintuple nosepiece, and an auto voltage sensing power supply for reliable and efficient operation. Featuring a Zernike Phase Condenser and Meiji Techno’s advanced Infinity Corrected Optical System (ICOS™), this microscope delivers sharp, high-contrast images of both stained and unstained specimens.
Phase contrast functionality is achieved through the careful alignment of Meiji Techno’s optical components. Using a phase telescope inserted into one of the eyepiece ports, the condenser annulus located in the substage condenser turret is aligned with the phase plate situated in the rear focal plane of each Phase objective. Each objective requires a specifically matched annulus diameter based on its magnification and numerical aperture (N.A.): the Ph1 annulus is used for 10X and 20X objectives, the Ph2 annulus for the 40X objective, and the Ph3 annulus for the 100X high-power objective. Proper alignment ensures that illuminating light rays are accurately superimposed onto the objective’s phase ring, producing true phase contrast illumination for clear visualization of transparent, low-contrast specimens.

VIEWING HEADS
Model MA815 is the Siedentopf-type binocular head and Model MA816 is the trinocular head for camera integration. Each head has the eyetubes inclined at 30 degrees with the left eyetube having graduated diopter settings. The interpupillary distance is adjustable between 53mm – 75mm. An 80/20 beamsplitter for the trinocular tube can be engaged for photo work. (100% to eyetubes or 80% to phototube & 20% to the eyetube.) The optional MA957, Ergonomic Binocular Viewing Head, has the inclination adjustable from 10 to 50 degrees to fit users of different heights. The Ergonomic Trinocular model comes with the MA958, photo/video attachment with sliding 80/20 beam-splitter (Included in MT5300ED).

EYEPIECES
10X Super Widefield High Eyepoint eyepieces F.N.22 are standard, and 15X and 20X eyepieces are available as an option. A Super Widefield High Eyepoint 10X focusable eyepiece that accepts 25mm reticules is also available.

Meiji Techno offers a broad range of digital video cameras which offers excellent sensitivity, high resolution and a wide dynamic range for the most demanding brightfield and darkfield microscopy applications including clinical pathology and cytology, life sciences and geology. Some models has included software, that can preview and capture still shots and live videos to a PC or Mac with USB port or HDMI connectivity.
