Description
Microscopes with Epi-Fluorescence is an optical microscope that uses fluorescence and phosphorescence instead of, or in addition to, reflection and absorption to study properties of organic or inorganic substances. The “fluorescence microscope” refers to any microscope that uses fluorescence to generate an image; whether it is a more simple set up like an epifluorescence microscope, or a more complicated design such as a confocal microscope, which uses optical sectioning for better resolution of the fluorescent image. This system is equipped with Chroma filters and a six position filter holder. There is a slot to add 3 more filter cubes and desired filters for your specific experiment or application.
The MT6300CLM employs Meiji Techno’s all new ICOS™ (Infinity Corrected Optical System) making the study of mounted specimens fast and easy while delivering an excellent cost-to-performance ratio. The MT6300CLM microscopes are configured for brightfield and epi-flourescence but can also be outfitted with optional phase contrast, polarized light and darkfield components. System modularity makes purchase and operation very affordable for colleges, universities, researchers and clinics.

Epi-Fluorescent with LED:
Intensity from a conventional lamp decreases throughout its life, which means that illumination varies dramatically over time. The lifetime of a LEDs far exceeds that of these older lamps, ex. Mercury, Metal Halide, Xenon models and intensity remains broadly constant throughout its life providing a stable, and repeatable light source. Some of the many fluorophores found in the PE-300 Series are FITC, DAPI, Cy3, Auramine, TxRed, mCherry, TRITC, ChR, Hoechst, Cy5, Calcofluor, RFP to name a few.
The PE-300L/LEDMT is a simple white light LED illumination system that offers intense, and broad-spectrum LED illumination for imaging most common fluorescent stains.
The PE-300L/LEDMT Light Source can be fitted directly to the microscope or specified with a liquid light guide. The system is a mercury-free alternative that is safer, more controllable, and repeatable than conventional high-pressure gas discharge illuminators. Spectral coverage is from the UV (DAPI excitation) to the Red region (Cy5 excitation). The system is perfect for hospital and regular research laboratory environments and is affordable within consumables budgets.
DAPI can be excited at either 365nm or 400nm and microscopes typically have a filter set which allows one or other of these wavelengths to be transmitted. To accommodate this, the PE-300L/LEDMT can be specified in one of two waveband configurations to match with the user’s existing filter sets within the microscope.
A microscope which is populated with a number of single band (“SB”) filter sets will typically have DAPI excitation at 365nm and a microscope with multi-band (“MB”) filter(s) has excitation at 400nm. The user can specify the configuration which is appropriate for their microscope.
