Equipped with a 6V 30W Köhler halogen transmitted illuminator, the MT9200H provides uniform, bright illumination optimized for polarized light observation. Key features include a centerable quadruple nosepiece, a 360° rotatable ceramic-coated stage with vernier graduation, built-in analyzer with compensator slot, rotatable polarizer, Bertrand lens, and first-order red and ¼-wave plates. Brightfield:
The simplest of all the optical microscopy illumination techniques. Sample illumination is transmitted (i.e., illuminated from below and observed from above) white light and contrast in the sample is caused by absorbance of some of the transmitted light in dense areas of the sample. Brightfield microscopy is the simplest of a range of techniques used for illumination of samples in light microscopes and its simplicity makes it a popular technique. The typical appearance of a brightfield microscopy image is a dark sample on a bright background.

Polarizing Light:
A type of optical microscopy techniques involving polarized light. Simple techniques include illumination of the sample with polarized light. Directly transmitted light can, optionally, be blocked with a polarizer orientated at 90° degrees to the illumination. More complex microscopy techniques which take advantage of polarized light include differential interference contrast microscopy and interference reflection microscopy.

The MT9200 & MT9300 Series Transmitted Light Polarizing Microscope that has been designed as a versatile, modular, ergonomic microscope system which are ideally suited in education, research or advanced laboratory applications such as forensic analysis, polymer, crystal identification. This series is the most suited in generating interference figures and in mineralogy in the scientific study of crystal structure and physical (including optical) properties of minerals. Newly improved strain-free ∞ Infinity Corrected Objectives ICOS Optical System and Abbe condenser.  Transmitted 6V 30W Koehler Halogen illuminator and ceramic coated, 175mm diameter, ball bearing, circular rotating stage graduated 360°, with 1°increments and vernier reading to 0.1°. Intermediate tube with built in analyzer and compensator slot and rotatable polarizer with full wave plate. A perfect instrument for geology, petrology, mineralogy, forensics, material science, manufacturing, crystallography, medical research, environmental science and industrial quality control and quality assurance applications.

VIEWING HEADS

Model MA952 is the Siedentopf-type binocular head and Model MA953 is the trinocular head for camera integration. Each head has the 23.2mm eyetubes inclined at 30 degrees with the left eyetube having graduated diopter settings.

The interpupillary distance is adjustable between 53mm – 75mm. An 80/20 beamsplitter for the trinocular tube can be engaged for photo work.

Each head has the new integrated reticle angle compensation system. When the IP distance or number is changed, the crossline reticle remains perpendicular in the FOV.

• MA953: Trinocular head – Siedentopf type, inclined at 30 degrees with reticle angle compensation, I.P. adjustment 53mm to 75mm, graduated diopter on left eyetube (23.2.0 mm I.D. eyetube). (Included in models MT9300 & MT9300L)
