Key Components

  • EMZ-5TRD Trinocular Head – A trinocular zoom stereo microscope body that you view through with two eyepieces and can attach a camera to the third port. It has a rugged metal construction and built‑in zoom controls with detent “click‑stop” positions.
  • MA502 Eyepieces – Pair of 10× Super Widefield eyepieces that make the magnified image large, bright, and comfortable to look at.
  • FSC Focus Block – A coarse and fine focus holder that lets you smoothly adjust focus up/down with good control. It holds the microscope body steady on the stand.
  • BAS-3 Stand – A boom‑style stand that supports the microscope and lets you position it in many directions — up/down and side‑to‑side — while staying very stable.

EMZ-5TRD: Microscope Head
The EMZ-5TRD body offers detent click-stops and delivers sharp, high-contrast images and an excellent zoom range of 6.5:1 that provides exceptionally high resolution images all throughout the zoom range. The EMZ-5TRD employs Greenough optics, for improved image flatness and contrast. As a result images are brighter and more distinct even at the periphery of the field of view. With the large zoom range, the EMZ-5TRD offers high resolution observation in precision-oriented semi-conductor, medical device and routine inspection. In addition to it’s compact design and versatility a wide variety of auxiliary lenses and stands are available to allow the user to customize their desired working distance to adapt to almost any application.

MA502: Eyepieces 
Is Included is the MA502 Super Widefield Eyepiece 10X (pair) with 25mm reticle mount Field No. 23.0, Eye Relief 16.0, Focal Length 25.0.

FSC: Focus Block 
FSC is an inclinable coarse and fine adjusting focus block with 5/8″ diameter mounting pin to hold the stereo microscope body onto any machine or other special applications. The 84.2mm diameter opening accepts all EM Series stereo bodies. The BAS-3 Heavy Duty Boom Stand is Meiji Techno America’s most popular Ergonomic boom stand with pillar, crossarm and a 5/8” Bonder Mount socket at the end of the horizontal arm to perfectly accept industry standard focus blocks with a 5/8” bonder pin dowel. The BAS-3 is equipped with a 635mm (25”) vertical pole and a 457.2mm (18”) horizontal pole. The BAS-3 offers minimal space requirement and greatest possible amount stability for EM Series stereo systems up to 35 lbs. There is no loss of stability even at its furthest travel. The BAS-3 can swing out of the way easily, clearing the workstation for other tasks. The horizontal arm can be moved freely and smoothly left to right or can be securely locked into position with our spring-loaded handle knobs.

BAS-3: Boom Stand
The vertical column is used to compensate for taller specimen heights to accommodate the working distances of different microscope bodies. Anti-rotation is stabilized by a locking pin on the vertical post. The BAS-3 Heavy Duty Boom stand provides a comfortable amount of space for microscope systems that require tilt when viewing the sample at an angle. It is designed for large biological specimens to large semiconductor and electrical components. The BAS-3 is supported by a 80.00 lbs. base. This boom stand is affordable; low cost with high quality safety features makes this boom stand unmatched value in its class. This stand has ample height and long reach to work on an inspect small to large parts under the microscope. Ergonomic flexibility, chemical resistant paint finish and corrosion resistant stainless-steel columns make this boom stand an excellent choice in labs and production facilities.

Superb Optics:
Multi-coated optical components, free form chromatic and spherical aberration, provide crystal-clear, high resolution images. The Greenough optical design provides superior erect, unreversed, stereoscopic images, rich in contrast, brightness and correct in their original color. Ergonomic Design:
All EMZ Series zoom stereo microscope bodies feature a compact lightweight design. Every stereo body features adjustment diopter tubes and interpupillary distance adjustment. Observation tubes are inclined at 45°, 60° or 90° for convenient fatigue free viewing depending on the application, A range of fixed of tilting focus blocks are available to mount the microscope body onto existing O.E.M. equipment.
