What It Does

Stereo zoom trinocular microscopes with high‑eyepoint eyepieces are designed for applications requiring highly detailed, three-dimensional observation of objects while maintaining a comfortable working distance and the ability to manipulate items under the lens. They are widely used in electronics inspection and repair, allowing precise examination of circuit boards, solder joints, and small components, as well as in precision assembly and manufacturing, where accurate alignment and placement of tiny parts are critical. These microscopes are also ideal for quality control, metrology, and defect analysis, enabling operators to detect subtle surface features and irregularities. The trinocular design allows simultaneous camera attachment for documentation or instructional purposes without interrupting the live view, while the high-eyepoint eyepieces provide comfortable viewing for users with glasses and reduce eye strain during extended use. EMZ-8TRH: Trinocular Microscope Head + MA522: Eyepieces + F: Focus Block + SAS-1: Stand

EMZ-8TRH: Microscope Head
The EMZ-8TRH is a new and improved high eyepoint model with an eye relief of 20.9mm designed for microscopists and for people who wear glasses. It is specially designed to give the user more clearance between their eyes and the microscope. The high eyepoint models also use a newly designed eyepiece with a wider designed lens to compliment the high eyepoint models (MA522 10X, MA818 15X, MA819 20X). Optional rubber eye guards (MA906) are also available. The EMZ-8TRH Trinocular High Eyepoint with 0.7x-4.5x zoom ratio offers direct light to all three viewing ports simultaneously. The EMZ-8TRH is designed for high-contrast images and has an excellent zoom range of 6.5:1 that is parfocalled all throughout the zoom range. It has Greenough optics for improved image flatness and contrast which results in brighter images at the periphery of the field of view. The EMZ-8TRH offers erect unreversed stereoscopic images providing high resolution observation in precision-oriented semi-conductor, medical device and routine inspection.

MA522: Eyepieces 
Included is the MA522 Super Widefield Eyepiece, high eye point 10X (paired) (With 25mm reticle mount) (Fits EMZ-5H, EMZ-5TRH, EMZ-8TRH, EMZ-10H models only)

F: Focus Block 
The F holder is a focusing holder with a rack and pinion mount that allows smooth, precise focusing over 55mm of travel. Coarse focus mechanism incorporates a slip clutch and tension adjustment. Fits 20mm diameter, 71mm long mounting post. The 84.2mm diameter opening accepts all EM Series stereo bodies.

SAS-1: Stand 
Our heavy-duty SAS-1 can tilt and swivel microscope mount allows the scope to swivel 360 degrees around a vertical axis and to tilt from vertical to horizontal positions. In spite of its flexibility, this heavy-duty mount can still securely lock the microscope in any orientation, even when loaded down with a large camera system. This mount also features a friction adjustment on the tilting motion to prevent the unexpected “flip-over” of the microscope upon release of the tilting lock. The sturdy solid metal 13-inch x 13-inch x 1.5-inch base (approx. 60 lbs.) with rubber feet provides excellent stability. Focusing holders for SAS-1 can be found on the accessories page.

Superb Optics:

Ergonomic Design:
